Tile layers at work……..
I could spend several pages talking about why laying tile on a mud set is better than hardi backer. How it’s become a lost art like so many others in our trade that have been tossed aside for a faster cheaper method. Learning how to properly do a mud set is a learned craft and like anything else takes time, experience and most of all an internal need to do things the right way or not at all. I fully expect to in 20 years it will be difficult to find anyone who even knows what a true mud set is much less be able to install one. There are still a few of us holding onto the right way of doing things. check link below for more boring info. http://wcfcourier.com/lifestyles/home-and-garden/decorating/bathrooms/article_09b4511a-eb73-11df-837b-001cc4c002e0.html
